V Hedge Fund Activity: Q3 2016 in Review

1,577 of the 3,749 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in Visa (V) for Q3 2016, worth a combined $143B — up 9.7% from $130B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 96 funds opened new V positions and 83 closed out — a net gain of 13 holders — while 607 added to existing stakes and 688 trimmed.

The largest buyer was Wellington Management Group, adding an estimated $1.31B. The largest seller was Capital World Investors, cutting an estimated $471M.
