V Hedge Fund Activity: Q1 2016 in Review

1,538 of the 3,754 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in Visa (V) for Q1 2016, worth a combined $134B — down 7.1% from $144B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 109 funds opened new V positions and 86 closed out — a net gain of 23 holders — while 660 added to existing stakes and 610 trimmed.

The largest buyer was Royal London Asset Management, adding an estimated $2.6B. The largest seller was T. Rowe Price Associates, cutting an estimated $454M.
