V Hedge Fund Activity: Q3 2017 in Review

1,829 of the 4,012 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in Visa (V) for Q3 2017, worth a combined $180B — up 11% from $162B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 131 funds opened new V positions and 58 closed out — a net gain of 73 holders — while 707 added to existing stakes and 773 trimmed.

The largest buyer was Bank of America, adding an estimated $439M. The largest seller was Citadel Advisors, cutting an estimated $548M.
