TIP Hedge Fund Activity: Q4 2016 in Review

650 of the 4,000 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in iShares TIPS Bond ETF (TIP) for Q4 2016, worth a combined $12.8B — up 9.3% from $11.7B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 132 funds opened new TIP positions and 32 closed out — a net gain of 100 holders — while 269 added to existing stakes and 166 trimmed.
