MA Hedge Fund Activity: Q2 2021 in Review

2,486 of the 5,746 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in Mastercard (MA) for Q2 2021, worth a combined $314B — up 19% from $265B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 147 funds opened new MA positions and 116 closed out — a net gain of 31 holders — while 1,060 added to existing stakes and 906 trimmed.

The largest buyer was JP Morgan Chase, adding an estimated $762M. The largest seller was Capital World Investors, cutting an estimated $1.49B.
