ICE Hedge Fund Activity: Q4 2017 in Review

807 of the 4,409 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) for Q4 2017, worth a combined $37.3B — up 2.2% from $36.5B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 118 funds opened new ICE positions and 43 closed out — a net gain of 75 holders — while 300 added to existing stakes and 266 trimmed.

The largest buyer was Third Point, opening a new position worth an estimated $378M. The largest seller was Lone Pine Capital, exiting entirely with an estimated $601M sold.
