IAU Hedge Fund Activity: Q3 2019 in Review

646 of the 4,560 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in iShares Gold Trust (IAU) for Q3 2019, worth a combined $8.79B — up 24% from $7.1B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 81 funds opened new IAU positions and 47 closed out — a net gain of 34 holders — while 269 added to existing stakes and 141 trimmed.
