IAU Hedge Fund Activity: Q4 2024 in Review

1,410 of the 7,592 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in iShares Gold Trust (IAU) for Q4 2024, worth a combined $18.6B — up 5.2% from $17.7B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 260 funds opened new IAU positions and 46 closed out — a net gain of 214 holders — while 501 added to existing stakes and 382 trimmed.
