1,148 of the 6,859 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in iShares Gold Trust (IAU) for Q4 2023, worth a combined $16.4B — up 19% from $13.7B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 172 funds opened new IAU positions and 49 closed out — a net gain of 123 holders — while 319 added to existing stakes and 431 trimmed.
