1,590 of the 7,596 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in iShares Gold Trust (IAU) for Q2 2025, worth a combined $25.5B — up 6.1% from $24B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 137 funds opened new IAU positions and 70 closed out — a net gain of 67 holders — while 502 added to existing stakes and 623 trimmed.
