IAU Hedge Fund Activity: Q2 2026 in Review

1,900 of the 8,271 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in iShares Gold Trust (IAU) for Q2 2026, worth a combined $29.1B — down 16% from $34.8B a quarter earlier.

Sellers outnumbered buyers: 157 funds closed out of IAU and 122 opened new positions — a net loss of 35 holders — while 633 trimmed existing stakes and 703 added.
