HYG Hedge Fund Activity: Q4 2016 in Review

570 of the 4,000 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG) for Q4 2016, worth a combined $14.5B — up 5.4% from $13.7B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 117 funds opened new HYG positions and 66 closed out — a net gain of 51 holders — while 211 added to existing stakes and 184 trimmed.
