1,867 of the 3,749 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in Alphabet (Google) Class A (GOOGL) for Q3 2016, worth a combined $192B — up 14% from $168B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 116 funds opened new GOOGL positions and 62 closed out — a net gain of 54 holders — while 707 added to existing stakes and 800 trimmed.
