2,070 of the 4,011 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in Alphabet (Google) Class A (GOOGL) for Q2 2017, worth a combined $222B — up 8.7% from $204B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 117 funds opened new GOOGL positions and 67 closed out — a net gain of 50 holders — while 783 added to existing stakes and 884 trimmed.
