1,813 of the 3,748 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in Alphabet (Google) Class C (GOOG) for Q3 2016, worth a combined $185B — up 12% from $165B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 111 funds opened new GOOG positions and 67 closed out — a net gain of 44 holders — while 663 added to existing stakes and 762 trimmed.
