1,095 of the 4,011 institutional investors tracked by Wall St. Rank reported a position in Alibaba (BABA) for Q3 2017, worth a combined $169B — up 25% from $135B a quarter earlier.

Buyers outnumbered sellers: 168 funds opened new BABA positions and 41 closed out — a net gain of 127 holders — while 418 added to existing stakes and 381 trimmed.
