Atmos Energy: Credible Growth Plan Is Reflected In Valuation
Atmos Energy has shown moderate performance in 2024, gaining 19%, but lagging behind the market rally due to its less cyclical, regulated utility nature. The company's secure cash flow supports stable dividends, though EPS growth is slower due to necessary debt and equity issuance for capital programs. Atmos targets 7.4% EPS growth in 2025, driven by a significant capital spending plan and favorable regulatory environments, particularly in Texas. I view this as credible.
