About: NL Industries Inc operates in the component products industry through its majority-owned subsidiary, CompX International Inc. (NYSE: NL) today reported net income attributable to NL stockholders of $36.0 million, or .74 per share, in the third quarter of 2024 compared to a net loss attributable to NL stockholders of $.1 million, or nil per share, in the third quarter of 2023. NL results include an unrealized gain of $18.6 million in the third quarter of 2024 related to the change in value of marketable equity securities compared to $.4 million in the third quarter of 2023. For the first nine months of 2024, NL reported net income attributable to NL stockholders of $50.7 million, or $1.04 per share, compared to a net loss attributable to NL stockholders of $9.9 million, or $.20 per share, for the first nine months of 2023.
