5 Stocks I Want If Oil Hits $100
Energy remains my top sector for 2026, with structural underweighting in the S&P 500 and compelling long-term rotation potential. Oil market dynamics are complex: inventory drawdowns, geopolitical risks, and inflation sensitivity create both upside and macroeconomic hazards. My preferred energy picks—TPL, VNOM, CNQ, CVX, and WBI—offer high margins, inflation protection, and resilience across oil price scenarios.

My Game Plan For What Some Call A Fat AI Bubble
I see broadening market leadership beyond AI, with dividend growth and value stocks outperforming tech-heavy indices year-to-date. While AI-driven CapEx and margins have powered recent gains, the sustainability of high rates of change is a key risk for hyperscaler suppliers. I favor selective diversification into undervalued cyclicals, energy, and income stocks to mitigate concentration and margin normalization risks.

Q2 saw CNQ generate $2.9 billion in free cash flow, sharply increasing buybacks and progressing toward a 100% free cash flow return to shareholders. Management anticipates reaching the 100% free cash flow return threshold by year-end if oil price volatility persists.
