If You Are Concerned About Equities Valuations, Go For BALT

BALT is a conservative, defensive equity ETF managed by Innovator Capital Management (now a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs following its April 2026 acquisition) that uses an options collar on SPY. The fund protects against the first 20% of S&P 500 losses over rolling 3-month outcome periods in exchange for capping potential upside returns. It serves as a middle-ground alternative to sitting in cash or holding unbuffered equity, making it particularly useful during periods of stretched stock valuations and elevated market risk.
